  • 2026-27 School Year Swing Space Plans (as of 02/09/26)

    WBASC is planning to hold both Elm and Hilltop After School Care Programs at the Middle School. The children will be bussed from their swing space to the Middle School for after school

    Before School Care is planned to be held at Vermont for all three primary schools. And the children will be bussed to their respective primary school in the morning.

  • We are planning to restart the Middle School After School Care program in 2026-27. We will begin with the rising 5th graders, and if there is still space, we will open it up to 6th grade as well. The following year (27-28), we intend to have the Middle School running for 5th and 6th grade, and potentially 7th and 8th, as needed. More to come on that!

  • Annual registration is required for all families that would like to participate in Wyoming Before and After School Care. New students cannot register for the following school year until the open registration period.

    There is a $40/family non-refundable processing fee. 

    REGISTRATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE ENROLLMENT

    Children must be enrolled in the PM or All Day Kindergarten through the 8th grade class in a Wyoming City School to be eligible to attend the after school program or be on a waiting list during the school year. Students can enroll in WBASC only at their school of attendance.

    **New families please choose all three primary schools for lottery placement, unless you are confident you are assigned a specific primary school. This also applies to kindergarten and first graders. It is not uncommon to be assigned a primary school different from what you consider to be your neighborhood school.

    Children attending AM Kindergarten are eligible only for enrollment in the WBASC morning programs, but not eligible for any PM program or for the WBASC waiting list.

    A child cannot be enrolled in WBASC without permission for emergency transportation. Children must be toilet trained in order to attend the WBASC program. See our Parent Handbook for additional details.   

    Additional forms are required if your child takes medication or has a medical condition that might require attention during program hours. See the Health Condition Info page for details.

    Registration for 2026-27 School Year

    Dear Families, 

    Please check out our new website at www.wyomingbasc.com. All enrollment forms including medical will be available through our website. Please complete all forms and email your completed (typed) and signed forms during the registration period that applies to you to wyomingbasc@wyomingcityschools.org

    If you had forms saved from last year, please do NOT use them and reference the ones on our website instead. The state has updated their forms, and we will be required to use the ones that say DCY on the bottom. If you turn in ODJFS forms, they will be returned to you.

    *The forms will only be accepted through email and must be complete, typed, and signed. 

    Please read the following information carefully regarding the registration process

    PRIORITY REGISTRATION LOTTERY

    Priority Registrations will be accepted beginning February 17, 2026. Priority registration will close February 27, 2026.

    **Applications received after February 27 will be processed as Open Registration. The $40 non-refundable processing fee per family will be billed to your account.

     NO CHECKS, MONEY ORDERS OR CASH WILL BE ACCEPTED.

    The order of application received will no longer determine placement order. 

    Applications will be sorted by a lottery on March 2-4, 2026.

    Applicant’s numbers will be drawn randomly from a bingo spinner and assigned based in order drawn. Please be aware the lottery is by family not by child. It is not a 1 to 1 ratio. Some families will take one spot, and some families may take three spots depending on their needs. After we fill the available spots per site, the additional applicants' names will be placed on the priority registration waiting list. This list will also be based on the original lottery.

    Open Registration will begin March 2 through March 6, 2026

    The application of order received will no longer determine placement order. 

    Applications will be assigned a number at the time of receipt (March 2 through March 6). 

    On March 9, 2026, the open registration application numbers will be mixed and pulled from a bingo spinner. The number pulled will determine the order of the applicant’s placement on the enrollment list and or the waiting list. 

    Any applications received after the March 6 open registration deadline will be added to the waiting list.

    • Email application status for open registration will be sent by March 13, 2026.

  • Registration for families new to our program for the 2025-26 school year will be March 10 through March 17, 2025.

    You must register and pay the processing fee for the school year to be considered for enrollment or to be on the waiting list. 

    There is a $40/family non-refundable prcoessing fee. 

    Open Registration will begin March 10 through March 17, 2025

    The application of order received will no longer determine placement order. 

    Applications will be assigned a number at the time of receipt (March 10 through March 17). 

    On March 18, 2025 the application numbers will be mixed and pulled from a bingo spinner. The number pulled will determine the order of the applicant’s placement on the enrollment list and or the waiting list. 

    Open Registration March 10 through March 17, 2025

    • Open Enrollment Registration (Lottery March 18, 2025) any applications received after the March 17 enrollment deadline will be added to the waiting list.

    • Email application status will be sent by March 21, 2025.

    Notifications for Priority & Open Registration

    • Confirmation of application  (upon receipt of application & lottery # assigned) 

    • Confirmation of application status (after lottery completed-Priority Registration, Priority Registration Waiting List, and Open Registration Status) 

    • Confirmation of enrollment by May 8, 025 pending $0 balance.

    In the event the 36 spots per site are filled during the priority registration period, any remaining priority registrant applications will be placed on the priority registration waiting list. 

    Again, please know we are seeking quality candidates to avoid placing families on a waiting list. Help us to spread the word WE ARE HIRING!

  • Registration for the 2025-26 school year for families currently on a waiting list is February 19-26, 2025. If you missed the registration deadline, you must register during the Open Enrollment (March 10-17).

    Registration is required annually to be considered for enrollment. If you are still on a waiting list, your registration fee will be waived.

    We continue to offer enrollment throughout the school year. 

  • Registration for the 2025-26 school year is February 19 - February 26, for currently enrolled families. If you miss the registration period, you must register as a new family March 10-17.

    Registration is required annually to continue enrollment. Currently enrolled families receive priority  and will be notified of upcoming registration timelines. Incoming siblings of currently enrolled students are given priority registration ahead of waiting list students.

  • Families that register for Wyoming Before and After School Care during the designated registration period and cannot be enrolled because the site is full are included on the waiting list for their school of attendance (site). Complete registration forms and processing fee payment are required to be included on a waiting list. The length of the waiting list and its movement varies from site-to-site and year-to-year. WBASC cannot guarantee or predict when space will become available.  Openings are offered as space becomes available throughout the year.
